Reflecting on Turning 30 - My 'This is 30' Social Media Post

Since it’s pretty standard to come up with a reflective social media post when you turn 30:

I’ve been mentally preparing to go from my 20s to my 30s for a while, so it hasn’t hit me as hard as I thought it would, at least not yet. I spent so many years being ‘stuck in my twenties’ exploring and adventuring to find a purpose, and to be honest, I didn’t think I’d make it to 30 years old. I have my parents to thank for never giving up on me, continuously supporting me, always being proud of every accomplishment, and never dwelling on my mistakes. When I was 26, I met Brendan, and suddenly my life had stability and a purpose, and turning 30 one day started to become a reality. If you’d told me four years ago, I’d never have believed I’d be married before my 30th birthday, and certainly not to someone so handsome and equally as kind. I’m bittersweet about no longer being a ‘girl in my 20s’ and am coming to terms with the fact that I’m an adult. I’m still a long way from filling in the blogs on Stuckinyourtwenties Blog, but I have my new website to start, “Figuring out your Thirties” and I’m so happy I have my best friend, my husband to figure them out with.
